Question Paragon/Ranger Running Build?

I want to start being able to do runs for people and upon looking through pages of Google and PvX, haven't found much help in the way of Paragon/Ranger builds. Do you guys have any ideas?

Here's what I've comprised of a 'general' running build: (non-area specific, although since I'm new to running, perhaps there are tricks to customizing a build to an area?)

Feel free to comment or post your own P/R Running builds or tell me what I'm missing.

Holy Spear
Godspeed
Storm Chaser
Unblockable Throw
Leader's Comfort
Sygnet of Synergy
"We Shall Return!"
Sunspear Rebirth Signet

Attb:
8 Wilderness
9 Spear
9 Command
9 Motivation
10 Leadership

Why include spear attacks? The purpose of a running build is 100% speed + defense (self healing, hex removal, etc.). The ideal runner never fights at any time. Look at any running build for any profession on PvX and you will see that none of them has a single attack skill.

Using ranger running skills doesn't seem to make much sense when paras have good running skills of their own and Enduring Harmony to give them 100% up time.

Bringing a res skill, much less two of them, also doesn't make much sense. Passengers on a run should wait by the portal. If they get themselves killed, that's their problem. As a runner, you won't be with them in any case, so who are you planning to res?

Ah! Good Point. So a better build would be:

"There's Nothing to Fear"
"Incoming"
Fall Back
"We Shall Return"
Ebon Escape
I am Unstoppable
Never Surrender

with a few other additions?

It's definitely better. You haven't gotten rid of "WSR" though. It adds nothing whatsoever to a running build. Also, Ebon Escape needs an ally within spell casting range so it'll be pretty much useless for any solo runs. You may want to consider condition and hex removal (though you'll probably want to customise your build depending on how much of each you need for each run).

EDIT: Also, you're going to have big energy problems. Leadership won't help because you'll be the only one around for it to trigger on. TNtF is 15e by itself, and you'll want to be chaining Incoming and Fall Back, which will probably max out your energy, let alone using the other skills. Enduring Harmony+Incoming should prevent the need for a second speed boost and will save you energy.

Hate to go off topic.. butt...
I find P/A running builds far more effective...
OQej8NmMKT0k7Y8Y2kTQ0l4O4YA

X Leadership
Y Shadow Arts
12 Command

X is a value from 2-12 dependant on how many members are in your party
Y is all the remaining points leftover.

-Incoming!/Shadow Form (elite, I prefer Incoming! in general cases to keep the constant +33% or more mvt.)
-Fall Back!
-Dash (drop if running with other party members)/There's Nothing to Fear!
-I am Unstoppable!
-Death's Charge
-Ebon Escape
-You Move Like a Dwarf! (just in case you get nuisanced, or to interrupt that crippling hex)
-We Shall Return! (if with other party members)/Dark Escape (when running Shadow Form)/Never Surrender! (for addition +health)/Help Me! (instant health regen can save you... sometimes...)/Shroud of Distress, duh!!!

Easy to use.
-Chain Fall Back-Incoming-Dash
-I am Unstoppable! at powerful mobs or at crippling hex areas (when not using SF)
-Death's Charge when you know a rubber band is coming or you are body blocked... it can happen a lot, so it's a MUST in ANY situation.
-Ebon Escape-> Difference between you and a rez shrine= life savior
-YMLDA! to deal with annoying things.

Just my two cents, hope this P/A build doesn't count as a troll!

Incoming
I am unstoppable
Feel no pain (with use of some alcohol)
wary stance (to block ranged attacks)
Never surrender
Optional

The original build you posted would have a rough time because it has no way to remove crippling, no way to remove snare hexes, and no way to become spellproof. This will make the harder runs (e.g. Droknar Run) difficult or impossible.

I think P/A is the right way to go, for a number of reasons... here is what I use.

P/A Shadowrunner
12 shadow
12+1+1 command

great dwarf armor
dwarven stability
dark escape
dash
shadow form
heart of shadow / death's charge
i am unstoppable
never surrender

use +20% enchanting spear (or totem axe, or whatever)
keep 1,2,3 up at all times, this gives you +24 armor, +60 health, and 26 out of 30 seconds at half damage and +25% IMS. You can use Dash as a backup, it will last up to 6 seconds under Dwarven Stability. Never Surrender is +5 long-lasting health regeneration and heart of shadow heals instantly. Shadow Form to become spellproof and avoid snare hexes. I Am Unstoppable prevents knockdown and crippling. This isn't invincible but it does very well, I have done the droknar run with it a few times. I also did it with a P/D running build using Vow of Silence. Either way I think that a serious runner needs to have some way of becoming spellproof, otherwise you are dead as soon as you run into some water elementalists or illusion mesmers that can snare you. P/R has no way to do that so it is going to have a rough time...

There's no way a paragon can use that build....it costs too many energy!

1) you should try it before making such claims. i already told you that i have made the droknar run with it several times.

2) normal run sequence is 1-2-3, this gets you 120 armor, +60 health, +25% IMS and you take half damage from all sources. In most places this is all you need, and it costs 15e every 30 seconds or so. Normal energy regeneration for paragon will get you 20 energy in 30 seconds (2e every 3s), so even if you use shadow form (5e) as often as possible you are still breaking even on energy.

Thank you guys for posting! Although the P/A builds probably work better then a P/R I'm dedicated to finding a build that's good for those professions.

^^

Okay... if it must be P/R, then Dwarven Stability could be used to keep Natural Stride up 100%, and it would provide permanent IMS and blocking. so you could go all command and wilderness and use something like the following.

i am unstoppable
great dwarf armor
dwarven stability
natural stride
troll unguent
antidote signet
incoming (e)
never surrender

alternatively you could use Melandru's Resilience to make yourself heavily resistant to health degeneration from conditions and hexes. this won't stop you from being snared but in some places it could be enough to get you through. Mel's Resilience is a stance so you could use the paragon shouts to provide the running speed. Maybe something like this...

i am unstoppable
great dwarf armor
feel no pain (?)
troll unguent
melandru's resilience (e)
fall back
godspeed
never surrender
